Work continued this week:
ZD252 (G-NCKZ):
- Nose wheel steering manifold electrically connected.
- Nose wheel steering manifold hydraulic fittings wire-locked.
- Nose wheel assembly build up and servicing for refit begun.
- Hydraulic pump suction strainer assemblies stripped, cleaned, inspected and re-assembled.
- Collective layshaft support structure repair continued – on pause awaiting arrival of AGS.
- Yaw/collective interlink bellcrank assembly bearings removal tooling manufactured and bearings removed.
- Yaw/collective interlink bellcrank assembly, new bearings fitted.
- Arm on fore/aft trim actuator fitted.
- Fore/aft trim actuator fitted to aircraft.
- Recovered rate gyro plugs unwired in preparation for fitment.
- Rate gyro associated wiring looms disassembled and inspected for assembly requirements.
- Paperwork associated with above tasks.
Work Ongoing this month:
XD252 (G-NCKZ):
- Bay service/build up and refit nose leg assembly.
- Fit hydraulic suction strainers to hydraulic pumps.
- Complete repair of collective layshaft damaged support structure.
- Continue re-wiring of yaw rate gyro plugs and looms.
