Progress in November

We have seen continued progress on the Lynx XZ179 in November.

Weald Aviation are continuing to develop key areas of the aircraft, ensuring that we are flying in the right direction going in to the New Year.

This month Weald Aviation’s engineers have continued with wiring, inspections, routing and in some instances reconnecting or the electrical systems of the helicopter. These are all key actions needed to be undertaken to return her to the skies, which take a high level of expertise, in order to complete correctly.

We are delighted with the progress in 2019, and we are hugely excited by the prospects of 2020. You are invited to join us on our journey, and hope you enjoy the ride.

We will be introducing a number of Lynx Project XZ179 merchandise in 2020, this will include apparel, mugs, hats and much more. You will be able to purchase these through our online shop on the website.

Finally, we need your help.
In re-developments of historic aircraft, one of the toughest steps along the journey can be identifying and sourcing specific parts, tools and documentation. If you have anything you might think we will find useful in our project, please contact us. We’d be eager to hear from you, and delighted to have you involved in any way we can.

We look forward to an exciting New Year, and wish you all a Merry Christmas. From all of us at Project Lynx XZ179 and Weald Aviation.
