Aircraft weighed
Work continued this week:
XZ179:
- No.2 AC control and protection unit replaced after fault found on ground run.
- Aircraft prepped for weighing. Basic fit determined and role equipment gathered to be weighed for fit as required.
- Aircraft defueled to minimum fuel status.
- Tracking requirements discussed and initial tracking arranged with Heli-Tune representative.
- Spare MRGB and Gem delivered.
- Inspection of new Gem started.
- Oil samples taken from remaining gearboxes.
- Inspection of gearboxes and ECU mag plugs carried out.
XZ678:
• No.1 ECU removal started.
• No.2 ECU exhaust removed for inspection
• No.2 rear bearing scavenge pots removed for inspection
Work to be continued next week:
XZ179:
- Prep aircraft for ground run.
- Carry out 3rd rotors turning ground run.
- Get initial ground vibration measurements for main rotors.
XZ678:
• Continue inspection of No.2 ECU
• Remove No.1 ECU
• Continue stripping and cleaning main fuel tanks.
