A Gear Box day!

Our Lynx has had plenty of attention recently, with lots of work undertaken recently by Weald Aviation.
This week she has had a new hydraulic return pipe fitted to her tail boom, had her No.1 hydraulic system cleaned, the main rotor gear box removed and area cleaned, her tail rotor gearbox removed and had all of her NDT zones marked up.
A pretty significant piece of work, which takes time and expertise, and we are greatful we have a team with such knowledge looking after her.

There is more wire locking required, and component fitting, and although she is still a long way from completion, we are pleased with the progress. Patience is a virtue and only with time and effort will we return her to the skies.

We would also like to use this post to wish all of our followers the best in recent global events in regards to the Corona Virus. We will continue our work, but only in fitting with the protocol and guidelines presented by the government. Please all stay positive, stay safe and stay in. Given time we will recover from this, and as a country, be stronger for it.

We will try out best to keep you updated throughout this period, and our social media’s will remain active, so please continue to follow our progress and support our project!
